Many pets love to accept Distant Reiki being sent to them without actually being touched by a stranger. The benefits of Distant Reiki for pets are numerous but one of the best is not having to bring them to an office for a session, they can remain comfy in their own space.

From my own many pets, only one dog enjoyed ‘hands on’ Reiki, all preferred distant sending. More of the cats seemed to enjoy hands on, still not most. All the birds preferred Distant Reiki as well.

Anytime is a good time for a pet to receive a Distant Reiki for pets session as long as he’s not a Service dog needing to remain focused on his job at that time. Most pets will just lay down, fully take in and enjoy the session!

In my experience it has benefited pets of all ages, for any reason. I have Reiki’d pets who are teething, who are in physical pain, receiving treatments, who are emotionally distraught, like during thunderstorms, for separation anxiety, while giving birth, while being birthed, while transitioning into Spirit, during operations, during nail-cutting, during grooming, and/or bathing, and even during Dog or Horse Shows.

You really can’t go wrong giving Reiki to a pet, they understand ‘energies’ in the world better than humans and truly enjoy receiving a session.

My favourite Distant Reiki for pets story involving dogs was with my Sister’s terminally ill, beautiful, red Siberian Husky, ‘Sweetie’, just weeks before she passed.

I had flown out to my Sister’s home in Halifax to visit and was actually in the room with Sweetie, but she advised me (through Animal Communication) that she didn’t want a ‘hands on’ session of Reiki, but would accept it readily, ‘distantly’.

So, Sweetie went and laid down in her plush bed on one side of the room and I was on the couch in another part. I began her session and could feel that she was accepting and very much enjoying it.

After about 30 minutes, she opened her eyes, slowly got up, and though walking was very difficult for her, she walked right across the large living room, came right up to me and gave me ‘kiss’ (lick) right on my two Reiki’ing hands.

It was the very best ‘Thank You’ I’d ever received.
